About Tiger Light
Korea Town Business Improvement Area (Korea Town BIA) has constructed Tiger Lighting in commemoration of its establishment in 2004. This tiger is a symbolic guardian of well-being and prosperity for the community. It represents Jujak(a symbol of the god in charge of the south), Hyunmoo(a symbol of the god in charge of the north), Chungryong(a symbol of the god in charge of the east), and Baekho(a symbol of the god in charge of the west) - four legendary beasts who are guarding the four corners, of the earth.

Cavalcade of Lights at Nathan Phillips Square has an impressive 40-year history in Toronto. The event was created in 1967 to showcase Toronto's newly constructed City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square. This festive event traditionally falls on the final weekend of November to kick-off the holiday season with the official illumination of the Square and giant Christmas tree with 100,000 festive lights. Throughout the holiday season brilliant creations of light will beautify the city as 20 neighborhoods and tourist attractions participate in the Cavalcade of Lights Festival. http://www.toronto.ca/special_events/cavalcade_lights/index.htm
